Trigger Upgrades

The inventory of current version triggers has been depleted.
There are no plans at this time to produce more due to lack of market demand.
In clearing out the warehouse, several pre-production and prototype triggers are available at discount.
These triggers function just fine, but may have cosmetic flaws or surface blemishes.

The Northwood Trigger is an alternative to the polymer trigger on the Kel-Tec PF-9, P-11, and P-40. It has a wider, saddled front surface, with a shallow curve to lessen perceived pressure on the trigger pull. The lower edge is shaped to eliminate trigger pinch.  The design provides more room between the front of the trigger and the guard, and provides a raised upper pinch guard for larger fingers.

Northwood triggers are designed to:

  • Decrease over-travel, giving your firearm a crisp, solid stop after hammer release

  • Decrease pre-travel, leaving more room for your finger in the trigger guard

  • Provide a "solid" feel — something you won't get with the polymer trigger

  • Protect the internal trigger pin and axis during firing

  • Not change the action of the internal firing mechanism

  • Not void the factory warranty

  • Improve the overall feel of the firearm

  • Make your range time more enjoyable

Even the smallest contour change or sharp edge can make a difference when it comes to shooting. The Northwood trigger is designed for comfort. When the trigger feels right, there can be more consistent control and better shot placement.

Northwood Components will be changing its e-commerce platform in the near future. The current (obsolete) platform will remain active for a while longer so that the Trigger Installation Guides and other data will be accessible. If you wish to copy any of these pages for future reference, please save them as PDF files. Just “bookmarking” the pages will not save them - once Northwood has changed platforms, those bookmarked pages will no longer be accessible. Installation Guides will take some time to reproduce on the new platform.

“Export As PDF” files are easily copied and shared with others. The Trigger Installation Guides were modified slightly to include all the text in PDF, but some photo descriptions may not allign properly. Using Safari or Chrome (Firefox does not support “Export as PDF"), select the page, go to File>Export as PDF, and save in your folder.

Check your saved files (without using an internet connection) to make sure they captured everything.
