Ordering (Frequently Asked Questions)

If I purchase a complete kit for my PF-9, do I need another complete kit for my P-11 or another PF-9?
No. The tool components in the kit are the same for both triggers, so getting a complete kit for one gun, and then just the trigger for the other gun is the way to go. There is a setscrew and trigger pin included with the "trigger only" option.

When I click the Trigger Installation Guide PDF link to download the file for printing, nothing seems to happen.
* The PDF file download is the same as the Trigger Installation Guide on the FULL website, and does not need to be downloaded for installation.

Depending on your system and internet connection, the PDF file download can take several minutes due to its size (normally less than a minute). The download will not always present a "progress screen". So wait a few minutes, and it should appear as a new page. If after a few minutes, it still seems like the download is not working, make sure that you have the proper software on your machine to read PDF files, such as Adobe Reader.

Can I place a credit card order over the phone?
Northwood Components is not set up to take credit card orders over the phone. For your security and our liability protection, the merchant bank that handles our transactions automatically encrypts your credit card information as it is entered on the checkout page of the website. No one sees or records that information when it is entered.
The information is then matched with data that is on file with your bank, and accepted (provided that you entered all the correct information, including the three digit code on the back of the card). Northwood is then notified that your credit card is accepted. Once your order has been prepared and shipped, Northwood authorizes the final transaction, and your credit card is processed at that time (without anyone at Northwood seeing your credit card number). Hopefully this will provide the assurance you need to feel confident in placing an order online.

When does my credit card get charged?
For your security and our liability protection, the merchant bank that handles our transactions automatically encrypts your credit card information as you enter it on the checkout page of the website. No one sees or records that information when it is entered.

The information is then matched with data that is on file with your bank, and accepted (provided that you entered all the correct information, including the three digit code on the back of the card).

Northwood is then notified that the amount you requested from your bank is available on your credit card. This will show as an "authorization" from YOUR bank on your account. Once your order has been prepared and shipped (within 3-5 business days), Northwood authorizes the final transaction, and your credit card is processed (charged) at that time.

Can I use PayPal to purchase a trigger kit?
The Northwood website is not set up to accept PayPal. However, depending on availability, you can still purchase trigger kits on Ebay and Amazon, where PayPal is accepted. Our prices are slightly higher there to absorb the additional fees incurred with selling on those sites.

Can I pay with a check or money order?
Due to the higher cost of processing these items, Northwood cannot accept checks or money orders without raising our prices. Online credit card purchases are the quickest and most secure way to ensure that our products arrive at the customer's door.
